MAWWAGE

Today's the big day! I am getting married to my best and most trusted friend in the entire world, mylescougar (https://www.deviantart.com/mylescougar) and I couldn't be happier of that fact!  I could be happier however about all the various fru-fru goings-ons associated with weddings and stuff but meh, it only happens once. So yep, don't expect too much activity from me for the next little while, there's a lot of honeymooning and open housing and moving inning to do! Off I go to start a new chapter in my life!

Private Values, Public Faith (Part I)

Do Religious Values have any Place in the Public Square? The general consensus among those of faith and without seem to be “no.” Religion is a personal preference and conviction. Personal convictions, while good for me based on various experiences and reasons, are not grounds for me to impose these convictions and others. I believe in God because (a) I was brought up to believe, (b) it gives me comfort, and (c) it makes me a better person. But someone else may have experienced religion in negative circumstances. Likewise a non-believer may not share feelings and values of religious pronouncements on reproduction, family, and (dee

Argo Part 2

Mira arrived home, waking to the fox android's insistent shaking of her shoulder.  She also realized they had bandaged her fingers, and she groaned.  She hated how coddling androids could be when provoked. The foxes laid out Lily and the mouse girl onto the lacquer table of her studio--a bit rustic by modern standards but useful enough.  Once finished, one fox asked if Mira needed any more medical assistance. "Yes I'm fine," Mira said, flexing her fingers.  They felt decent enough to do delicate work, so she supposed she didn't need anything as drastic as stitches. "You're not--" "No charge for the bandages, courtesy of Wreck Retrival Inco

The Storyboard - 024

“Ten thousand” is a punchy, raw number. Ten thousand of a thing is a staggeringly large amount. The mind tricks itself into believing it is countable. If I wanted to, I could recall the years I walked this hall, same as they are, day in and day out. But I do not want to, and so I simply say—to myself because there is no one else—that I have walked this hall for ten thousand years. My mind could not handle “a million years” without admitting that it is equivalent to eternity. Therefore it could not possibly be a million. And there was no one to say otherwise. There were the two clocks, one over the table
